Why we built this.
Chesapeake Pallets was founded in 2007 by Darian Green, who came up through logistics, transportation, and freight brokerage. After years moving freight at national scale, he kept seeing the same overlooked problem: enterprise teams bleeding budget and hours into fragmented, region-by-region pallet sourcing — a commodity treated like a strategic headache.
He built Chesapeake to run pallet procurement with the discipline of a national freight desk: aggregate the demand, bid it across a vetted supplier network, and hand customers one company instead of a vendor list. Headquartered in Atlanta, the company serves all 50 U.S. states.
Supplier vetting
Four gates before a load ships.
Every supplier in our network clears these four. Suppliers below threshold are paused — not for a quarter, until they re-qualify.
Financial stability
D&B verified. Active credit monitoring. Suppliers under stress are paused before they fail to deliver, not after.
Capacity
Audited monthly via inventory ledger and capacity confirmation. We know what each yard has on the ground, not what they say they can produce.
Quality
Defect-rate scorecard, replacement-count tracking, repeat-issue flags. Suppliers below threshold are paused until they re-qualify.
Certification
ISPM-15 / HT documentation verified monthly. We don't take "we have it" as an answer when customs doesn't.
