How freight moves

I-75 runs from Toledo through downtown to Oakland County and now feeds the Gordie Howe International Bridge, a second truck crossing downriver from the Ambassador Bridge. I-94 passes Detroit Metropolitan Airport on its way into the city, I-96 heads northwest past Livonia toward Lansing and Grand Rapids, and I-696 crosses the northern suburbs into Macomb County. Both bridges land on the Ontario side with links to Highway 401, and rail cars use the Detroit River tunnel between Detroit and Windsor.

Which pallet to order

Pallets crossing into Ontario fall under a long-standing exemption: the Canadian Food Inspection Agency currently lets wood packaging from the continental U.S. enter without ISPM 15 marks, though Canada and the U.S. plan to phase that out. Freight continuing overseas, or loads whose wood origin is unclear, should ride on heat-treated (HT) pallets. Parts suppliers usually need block or custom pallets built to the print. Eastern Market coolers fit Grade A or new 48x40s, and cross-dock 3PLs do well with sturdy Grade A recycled stock.

Can you match a pallet print for a Macomb County parts plant?+
Yes. Send the print, or the dimensions, deck board layout and fastener spec, along with the load weight. An independent yard near your plant builds to it, and your account manager confirms the build in writing so the spec stays the same from order to order.
Do you deliver to Eastern Market wholesalers?+
Yes. Produce and meat wholesalers in and around Eastern Market receive truckloads of 48x40s, usually Grade A or new for cooler use. Tell your account manager about street access, trailer length limits and the hours your dock receives, and those details go on the written order.
Can loads go to cross-dock warehouses near the Gordie Howe bridge?+
