Privacy policy

Chesapeake Pallets LLC ("we") runs chesapeakepallets.com. This page explains what we collect, why, who handles it, and how to get it corrected or deleted.

What we collect

• What you enter in a form: name, company, work email, phone (and extension) and delivery ZIP.
• Your load details: grade, quantity, size, heat treatment, timing, how often you'd order, how you unload, other delivery sites, what you pay now and any notes (such as dock hours).
• Supplier sign-ups: your yard, contact details, ZIP, what you make, monthly capacity and where you deliver.
• If you ask us to email you an estimate: your email and the load you priced.
• How you found us: campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source, or an ad click ID like gclid), the site that sent you, the page you landed on and when.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser details. Our host logs them for a short time, and we use the IP address to block spam.
• Usage data, collected without cookies: pages viewed, page speed, device type, approximate country, and whether a form was started or sent.

How we use it

• To call, text or email you about your request, quote your load and follow up.
• When you're a customer: to set up your account, deliver, invoice and support your loads.
• To see which pages and campaigns bring in buyers.
• To block spam and abuse of our forms.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for other companies' advertising.

Calls, texts and emails

We contact you about your request by phone, text or email.

To stop, reply to any of our messages, call (470) 206-3352, or email orders@chesapeakepallets.com. We'll stop contacting you.

Who else handles it

These providers run parts of our business for us, under their own privacy and security terms:

• Vercel hosts this site and runs our cookieless analytics. Its server logs are kept for a short time. If a form fails to send, the log keeps a copy so we can still reach you.
• Upstash keeps a copy of each form request for up to 90 days and runs our spam limits.
• Telegram sends each new request to our sales team's private group chat.
• Resend emails each request to our team, and sends the estimate you ask us to email you.
• DigitalOcean hosts the server that runs our CRM, which stores requests and quotes.
• Google Workspace runs our company email.
• Our phone provider carries our calls and texts.

To deliver an order, the yard and carrier handling it get the delivery details they need. Beyond that, we share your information only when the law requires it.

Customer portal

The Customer login link opens our customer portal at loadcover.chesapeakepallets.com. It's a separate site with its own sign-in, and it uses a cookie to keep you signed in. It holds your account and order details. We don't sell them or share them for other companies' advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep requests and customer records as long as we work with you, and longer where tax, accounting or legal rules require. Server logs are kept for a short time. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices

• To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email orders@chesapeakepallets.com.
• To stop calls, texts or emails, tell us at any time (see above).
• To block or clear cookies, use your browser settings. The site still works.

Cookies and browser storage

• cp_attr: a first-party cookie that records how you first and last reached the site (campaign tags, referring site, landing page). It lasts 90 days and lets us credit a request to the right source.
• cp_lead_draft: browser storage that saves what you typed if a form fails to send, so you don't have to retype it. It's deleted once the form goes through.
• No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics don't use cookies.

Children

This site is for businesses. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
